Endurance is a key indicator of spiritual fitness.
~ Alistair Begg
When we started, I didn’t feel motivated and didn’t have a
drive to draw. At first it looked quite strange to my eyes, I had only passed a
form of what I saw, a man’s figure sketchy without facial features or any other
true details to be factual; then I looked at my sister’s representation, and I
felt a moment of discouragement. She had been drawing as long as I had and had
already made a perfect depiction of a DĂșnedain Ranger like those that protected
Eriador in Tolkien’s Middle-Earth as it seemed to me, the figure gushed with passion
so provocative.
I almost gave it up
mine (a pattern I’ve seen in my life, the abandoning of things I no longer understand or have little interest to. It isn’t a good one). A moment passed, and then another. Then rapidly and much to my own
surprise, a spark of resolution overcame me, I still didn’t feel inspired but I
was fixed on finishing what I had started. I had no idea what I was drawing I
just kind of let my mind's eye get the best of me and ended up with this.
Let me know what you think, i.e. leave a comment.

I think your drawing is so very nice! It must be very merry to draw with siblings! I bet your family has a lot of fun that way, even though can get a bit discouraged! :D

Thank you! It is a good learning experience for me I think. :)
Here ya go, Ryan. The poem this sketch inspired:
Invisible, save helmet and breastplate – this soldier, poised for righteous war – the Evil One would be e’er wary of hidden might and Spirit, sore.
This Man empowered by God, Almighty – His wielded sword would reach its aim; the evil Serpent’s head be severed – just one fell swoop would end his game.

Wow, this poem is very good! It's such a blessing to know that my work has inspired you to write it!
Is it alright if I could share this poem on my page?
